Music Classes for Kinder Keys

Kinder Keys is the only course of its kind in New Zealand! A fun piano-based group course incorporating singing, dancing, percussion & tuned instruments. Kinder Keys classes are designed for little fingers to easily navigate the keys and to train the ‘musical ear’.

Building upon Christchurch Music Academy’s revolutionary Listen-Sing-Play-Read-Write approach, Kinder Keys classes have been expertly developed especially for the 4 year old child to build a really strong musical foundation - with an emphasis on technical development and FUN!

Kinder Keys offers a fun and engaging introduction to:

• Note names, rhythmic note values & music reading 
• Piano as the learned instrument, with correct technical development delivered at an age-appropriate level
• Key musical concepts such as time signatures and the musical stave
• Finger dexterity and fine motor skill development
• Singing, aural & pitch training to develop the 'musical ear' (a gift for life)
• Music & movement to develop gross motor skills, to internalize rhythm, pitch and to create intrinsic musicality

Kinder Keys music for kids is appropriate for the first-time beginner student or as the final installment in the Kinder Beat series, for those children who have progressed through our Treble-Tots or Mini-Maestros preschool music course.  

Our Kinder Keys classes are limited to a maximum of 8 students per class, are 45 minutes in duration and are attended once per week with a parent or caregiver. Our studios are equipped with a digital piano for each child plus we supply a range of resources, props & instruments to support learning.  Our Book & Backing Track Set is $49.50 which includes the free soft toy 'Super Cool Mouse' to ensure a fully interactive experience for your child!  At 5 yrs old or earlier your child will be ready to move onto our next course programme 'Encore - On- Keys Junior Piano'.  

Classes are $19.00 per session with a first term promo rate of $14.50!
