Music Classes for Choirs, Ensembles & Bands

 Music is supposed to be a group activity – which is why playing music is always better with friends!

Christchurch Music Academy has a number of musical groups, ensembles and bands available for students of all ages to participate in. These performance groups bring our students’ musicality to the forefront, develops confidence, motivates and helps with the development of key skills through mentorship.

Our choirs, ensembles and bands are lots of fun, provide social cameraderie and offers a balanced approach to music education through group participation and engagement. By joining one of our performance choirs, ensembles or bands, your child or teenager will:

• Learn to work and play in a group
• Improve their technical command on their chosen instrument
• Develop best practice technique and gain intrinsic musicality
• Meet new friends and develop social skills
• Gain a greater understanding of their instrument’s role within a group format
• Develop confidence and self esteem
